It has been a fantastic season so far. I've been out three times and 'in spirit' for one 8.gif. I've taken one bird of my own, guided my wife's cousin to her first bird ever and assisted my father-in-law by telling him where to sit.

Opening day was tough, with every field on every property I had access to being worked by the farmers, beginning at first light, but I was able to work my way into the middle of a bush lot where the birds were holding up and call this guy in:

22 lbs
9.5" beard
1" spurs

My father in law was taking at least the first couple hours of work off on Friday morning to get out, so I told him where to go sit on the property a few hundred yards from his back porch, where I had seen birds before heading home the previous evening. He ended up with this guy:

23 lbs
10" beard
1" and 1 1/4" spurs

And on Saturday I took out a brand new hunter, on her first hunt ever and we had an amazing morning. Lots of gobbling, two does passed by us at 20 yards, a bearded hen came in which was passed on and she dropped her first bird ever:

14 lbs
4" beard
Nubs for spurs

Hope everyone else is enjoying their season as much as I have been. Hoping to close out tomorrow morning.
