Looking at buying this gun. Although price is not an issue - length of pull is as the gun is only a 1/4 inch longer than my current pull length.

How is the quality with H&R Guns?

I was looking at a single shot Ruger.

But this has better pull length.

I had a H&R single shot 22-250 and in my opnion it was the biggest piece of garbage I ever owned..

A friend has one .17 HMR granted this is a rim fire cartridge but a tack driver for sure

Ther H&R slug guns are accurate as anything with the right shell. The H&R rifles are great little guns, if single shot and nostalgic wood is not an issue, they are great guns for the money.
