Custom calls, production calls, lets see what works best for you.

Here mine for starter.

Open reed call and closed reed squeaker. The squeaker sounds amazing and is very easy to use.

The small white acrylic distress call is a Carver. The two antler calls and the springbok horn howler are made by RR calls and the last one is a call I ordered from Brad Gainey.

I love it, the most accurate rifle I own at this time. I saw some Sako wooden and laminated stocks for sale somewhere not too long ago. Someone had a few Sakos restocked with synthetic stocks and had a bunch for sale. Pretty sure it was either on CGN or Alberta Outdoorsmen forum.

Here are my hand calls.

The first 5 calls are made my Kerry Carver. Next one is a custom cow horn howler made by a guy in Texas. The last one is a JS PC-3 call. Its probably my favorite call, I use it on every stand.

I love the cow horn howler. Those Carver "strickly business" sets are selling like hot cakes on CGN. Probably the best set of calls you can get for $45.

They are really good calls. I can do better sounding howls with the medium howler than I could with any other one I got. Real easy to get the right pitch, doesn't take a lot of pressure, and the sound gets out there. I use the jack rabbit closed reed call quite a bit too. Called in a couple with these calls so far this winter.

I just need some lanyards to put these calls on, PITA having them in my pocket digging for them LOL

I got myself a nice eight loop lanyard on Ebay last year. It's handmade with paracord and it only costed me $17 +$5 for shipping. I like it because you can secure four calls with two loops on each call or you can carry up to eight calls if you use all the loops. I added a drop with a snap clip at the end to carry my Foxpro remote.

Today, I got the Call I ordered from Yotehntr. It looks amazing and sounds not bad at all. It has Red Mallee burl barrel with a hippo ivory bead. It is followed with an o-ring fitted buffalo horn toneboard with hippo ivory insert. Impressive craftsmanship.

I was supposed to get an open reed call but Brad offered me this one instead for a faster delivery as he's pretty much backed up for a few months. I'll order an open reed later on.

Very nice. Who makes the .223 brass call? I really like that one, If it sounds as good as you say, I'm going to have to pick one up.

It's made by Dan Thompson and it only cost $5.95

The reed is made of a very thin sheet of metal, I think it's what gives it that raspy sound.

Right on I'm going to buy one for that price!. Dan Thompson desert reed howler was one of the first howlers I've ever seen. Pretty sure its the original howler call, most call makers used to try and minic that call.

One more closed reed call, this time made by Nick Nelson. Made of Bubinga wood, it's a shade over 3" long and CA finished inside and out. It's set up with a double inhale / exhale squeaker and can also do some killer bird distress with some practise.

Here's another one from Rick Robbins. Made of stabilized Black Ash Burl, this call is tuned loud and Raspy. Would make a great spring bear Distress call.

I have one on order since last December, he first quoted me two months of waiting time, then after three months I contacted him to inquire about the call. He answered that he shipped the call several weeks ago and that I should have got by now. I never got it so he said he'd make another one and mail it in a couple weeks. I still haven't got any call from him yet???

One of Rudy Calderone's famous cocobolo Bunny Bomb (Stone coyote calls). This little call can rip some nasty distress bunny noise!

Here's a cool little call made with a one piece open reed out of Elk antler. It will do some wild cottontail out to fawn distress. There's a paw print on the side for some cool factor and a little antler tip on a string to hook your lanyard around. If you look in the pics, it also has a small paw print on the cut end of the antler. Made by Dirt's Custom Calls.

This call was named "Double Trouble" by the maker. It is a forked piece of deer antler tipped with stabilized ash burl. This call gives you the option to pick two enclosed reeds, one is jack rabbit distress and a coaxer.

Here's a cocobolo Head Knocker, Oil and wax is the finish, and it's tuned to break raspy when you blow in it.

Gray Ghost Buckeye Burl

Here is a ORION Call made from Buckeye Burl. The Burl in this one is a darker gray has been CA stabilized and has a high gloss CA finish. The call is tuned with an ORION distress tone board. It's about 2.75 inches tall and can rip some raspy distress calls.

After months of waiting, I finally got the call I ordered from Tony Tebbe and deceided to get another one as well.

The first one is a small howler that Tony worked on. He hand scraped it down with a piece of broken glass, just like the traditional powder horn makers did 100 years ago, before he sanded and polished it (notice how thin is the bell).

This little howler can scream female or pup and can raise the roof on coyote/pup distress. It features a TT 2 toneboard.

The second one is a classic one piece TT antler distress call.

Not a predator call but I can't think of anywhere else to post it. I just treated myself with a custom deer call. These pics are from the maker but I'll post more once I get the call.
