I just spent a couple of hours in the shop cutting 10 doz right wing Orca profile feathers on my new Vario feather cutter. Did up a couple of stump shooting arrows in 10 inch white crest with white nocks and white hens with a barred red cock. Just some old 2117 I had lying around. I used fletching tape for the first time and love it. Won't be using glue anymore. Still don't know what shaft I will be shooting off the Widow yet. Still playing with bare shafts and different weights both carbon and aluminum. Would like to shoot some wood but very hard to find good wood arrows lately. Have a line on some Canadian made shafts by a company called Hexshaft. Nice stuff, check em out

Fletching tape......... never heard of it!! How does it stand up compared to the glue?I know when I glue on my feathers, its a hit/miss on whether the feather is going to stick good enough or not.

I used the tape on 2 carbons and have shot them maybe 100 times each and they have not moved at all. Bohning makes it but I got mine from 3 Rivers Archery.

Those feathers look awesome. I bought a dozen Goldtips last year for my recurve and my buddy that I bought the arrows from used the fletching tape. I was impressed with how well they are holding up. Some of the feathers are starting to look rough from grouping too close but they are still as tight to the shaft as the day I bought them.

The tape is the only way to go for feathers, very easy to use.
